I have a gas furnace with forced hot water heat. I have two zones on my first floor and two separate Honeywell T852A clock thermostats. Both clocks on both thermostats stopped working at exactly the same time. The heat still works on both thermostats when I slide the day/nite levers from 50 to an upper heat range. The thermostats have 4 wires; 1 black & 1 white are wired to the clock side of the thermostat. 1 green & 1 red appear wired to the heat lever side of the thermostats. It seems too coincidental that the clocks on both thermostats would have died at the exact same time. What should I be checking for as to what may have happened? The thermostats are the rectangular metallic type with clocks. Probably 30-40 years old. I believe the clocks are also wired to little transformers which are down near the furnace. Thanks, Mike

We have a Payne Furance. I could not find the year on the unit but know it is less than 6 years old. Model # CD5BXC048000AAAA Serial # 3796X35970 The ignition is a regular on / off swtich like a light switch. The furance will turn off if you flip the switch to on but will only run a few minutes. I have watched the pilot light and it turns on, but then goes off and on a few times and then stays off. Sometimes the furance will run for a few minutes, sometimes it will keep turning on and off and sometimes will run for several minutes. Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.
