Heating/Air Ducts

I purchased a two story home about a year ago that was built in the early 1980's. It has central AC/Heating. The problem is that whether running the AC or Heater, there is very little air flow through the ducts. There is one room that seems to have good air flow, but the other ones have little or no air flow. What could I have done to improve this situation ( all of the duct work is within the walls)?

Before jumping to any conclusions, I would first make sure that all the supply and return air vents are in fact open. If the ducts are inside of the walls as stated, my guess is that there is too much pressure drop, created by the smaller, confined space inside the walls. There are ways to determine this . I suggest you get a qualified a/c tech and let him determine what needs to be done.
