Unhappy AC fan runs ,but no cool

My 2 ton comfortmaker ,which is only two years old, stop cooling all-together after short circuiting the breaker a few times. Suppose I can replace the fuses? (or whatever they are called) . Any imput will be appreciated? Tim

Make sure the breaker is a time delay breaker.

I don't know much about A/C wiring, but it sounds like you have a short circuit somewere in the condenser. Possibly the circuit that the compressor is on.

I would take the panel off, and make sure that there is no damaged wires.

What happen's when you try to turn it on?

If it's a short, the breaker will trip.

Please, before asuming it is a short circuit, wait for responses from pros.

The problem my ac seems to be the breaker. We used an extension cord and plug the ac into another socket and now we have very cool air. Thanks for your imput. Tim

That doesn't make sense, shouldn't a 2 ton unit be running off 240V? A household outlet is 120V.

I though it was a central unit with a dedicated 240V ciruit.

Cool breaker and comformaker

Thanks for your help. The problem was with the breaker. It was no good even though it registered OK at Home Depot when they checked it. Anyway it was a simple and inexpensive problem. I quickly corrected the problem of plugging the AC into a 120v outlet. This oversight was done by someone other than me who couldn't take the heat anymore. Thanks again, Tim
