Question The fan started blowing with no initiation from me.

Last night I had the same trouble as cordo2002. I was just working around the house yesterday evening when I heard the fan cut on. I had the theromstat fan set to off when it cut on. I turned off the fan switch inside the AC/Furnace, then later turned it back to auto. It then continued to run. It does; however, cool when I switch it to the AC. What do I need to do to the fan relay in order to fix it? Or what other situation do I need to check?

look at

temp setting on fan limit switch. if hot in the house, fan will come on by itself ...may be set too low....applies mostly to gas
