no power on thermostat for heat pump

I replaced my heat pump themostat for a programmable one but nothing , not even the fan will work. I reinstalled the old one (weatheron), still nothing worked. I checked every wire in the thermostat and none of it has any power. I have turned all circuit breakers to on and check the fuse in the attic furnace. The heat pump is only 1 year old and we haven't used it for several weeks. . It is 95F and the AC service guy I called won't be able to show up soon enough. What can I do myself? Thanks a lot!!!

The control transformer has a 3.2 Amp fuse.

You probably erred and blew the control transformer fuse. If the error is fixed, Replacing that fuse should get you going. The transformer and fuse are in the air handler.
