This should probably have been an electrical forum posting, but basically you take off the light, install the fan (making sure the box supporting it is strongly secured to something. A light will dangle on drywall, a fan will not). Then you connect both the fan and light wires to the black power wire, and the white wire to the white power wire. The only drawback of this setup is that you have to have the light on in order to turn on the fan. The "real" solution is either to get a fan with a wireless remote control (I know Hunter makes something like that, it has a swich which controls the light and fan using a single wire setup), or to install a 3rd wire to the line, and a second switch in the box to control the fan independly.
