vent

I have an opening from heat/cool duct which is 6" X 3 1/2". Currently, there is not a vent covering it. The local hardware stores do not carry this "odd" size. Any suggestions? Thanks.

located? floor, cieling, toespace, etc?

vent

the vent is about six inches off the floor, the opening is in the wall itself

a/c condensation collection/evaporator

I have an old GE central a/c & heater unit. The condensation collector/evaporator needs replacement. The original company (Beckett Co., Dallas, TX) appears to be out of business. Their part number is CU 40L S 1 I have not been successful in finding this part. Any suggestions?

The air conditioners were not used in the past two years. When I tried to start it several days ago, it's not working. When I turned the thermostat to cool, the air conditioner at side yard of the house made a humming sound but neither the compressor nor the fan were turning. What's wrong? help! (The fan at the top of the heater was running sending air to the house but the no cool air). Thanks. Jack
