Frank,

I still couldn't get there. Here's a link to the whole page:

http://www.geocities.com/fatkid66/ocmd1.html

Maybe that will get them there. That does look like so much fun!

Kay

Ps. Frank, I have you a folder set up on my site, but can't for the life of me figure out how you can upload and link to it yourself. They just increased my site space (an extra 300M) so not a problem with pics being there. I'll work on that as soon as I get through with this a/c destruction project I've started this morning.

Are you set up to automatically log in when you go to your site? If so, it may be reading that and letting you go there. Not sure, could just be me unable to do it.

Kay

Ps. Am at a standstill right now. The screws on the bottom are rusted so I'm waiting for the rust eater to work. Hate to spray anything like that in there, but I'll get it out when I actually clean the coils.

It must be the penquin and the fact that I'm running Windows right now
<a href="http://www.geocities.com/fatkid66/dcp_0463.JPG">
<img src="http://www.geocities.com/fatkid66/dcp_0463.JPG"
alt="click for larger view (1482x740)" height="246" width="474">
</a>
The coding between the PHP stuff (used only to keep the system from actually loading the code on the page) gives you this:

I deleted the picture since it doesn't always want to show. Am afraid we're tearing up your bandwidth showing the picture.

I reduced the size of the picture (1/3) to be shown here for the sake of those on dial up. You could actually make it smaller, and with it being clickable the viewer can still have the option to view the original size (which is a little bit large - remember that most screens are set at 1024 pixels max - mine at 800 or so) so this gives the viewer the opportunity to determine if they want to see the details, or the thumbnail may be enough. The alt text allows viewers to know that 1) click the picture you get a bigger one, 2) added info of how big the picture is going to be.

Youre welcome. Still working on the ftp deal. I got you set up, but don't know how to access it except through an ftp server. Do you have one of those? Let me search a little and I'll nap you a free version for uploading and downloading files/images. Then you can link to them from my site and not use up your bandwidth on your family site.

dont know if the bandwidth size was the problem. seems i can link to the site(so one can click off the advos there), what caused me my problem was taking the actual file from there and attaching it to my post here!! i have plenty of "room" left now that i fixed most of the size issues that i had previously. most of the time i will post links to my site. i figgered id try to attach a pic, and still need help in that vein. if i need to do so in the future(attach a pic), ill drop it to you in e-mail OK?
Thanks for your help

remember i do most of my stuff at work!!!

If you do decide that you need it, then its there for you. If you want to display the picture within the post like I did of the ones of your girls, then please do so off my site. I have plenty of bandwidth, and also have more space this year. I do have the site for another year, so its not going anywhere.

You know, as a moderator you can split this thread and put half as another topic... please don't ask me how though. Did that once and really messed it up. Tom had to fix it for me LOL.

Kay,

You may want to remove that link for the FTP...every time I open the thread a box pops up asking for for my passward and name for www.kaybird.com

Thought you might want to know.

Jeff,

Did it do it now? I'm thinking its the permissions that I stuck to the file that has the picture of his girls. Not sure why it isn't asking me for one too, tho since I have to log into my site every time its required.
