"cents" sign (like this: ’’’’)

anybody know how to get the "cents" sign to appear on this forum, like when you want to say, ".....just my 2 cents" ??? i've got the dollar sign ($), but no cents!

i suppose my only other alternative is to go with "...just my $.02"...but i sure wish i had the cent sign.

P.S. fyi - i'm a step away from being completely computer illiterate, so speak slowly. . . . . .

When they invented the computer it was all big bucks. They didn't worry about pennies (or just had no cents). Maybe you could be creative and say" This is my 2% worth." Isn't 2 cents, two per cent of a dollar?

’ signs in Windows virsus Apple

Saving the ’ sign in note pad....makes perfect ’’’’’’’’ to me......

Apple computers have templates in the keyboard settings to use to make ’ signs............. Windows has no such option, that I am aware of. ????

You can make any character in the code with the number pad.

Hold Alt and type in a number pad selection: for example: §†§

Alt + 155 = ’

Alt + 47 = τ
Alt + 168 = Ώ
So you can make a face: τΏτ

Alt + 1020 = ⁿ
Alt + 1021 = ²
alt + 1022 = ■
Alt + 1054 = ▲
They are a logical sequenc of number starting at 1 and going through ?? 10,000 maybe? ♥♦♣♠•◘○◙♂♀♪♫☼►◄↕‼Ά§▬↨↑↓→←∟↔▲▼ !"#$%&'()*+,-./012....╔╩╦╠╚╟╞┼─├╬╧╨╤╥╙╘╒╓╫╪┘┌█▄▌▐▀αίΓπΣσ΅τΦΘΩδ∞φε∩≡·♦♫↑*■‼+-./-τΣ𡧆§+‡ˆλ‰‹…‡ and on and on and on and on.. Wether or not they print to the post is another issue

Have fun with it. Wow and amaze your friends and loved ones. I'm fairly young so I grew up dickin with the characters in various games for names that no one could replicate.

Talking Translation Software Programs?

♀☻•▬ ’ ▒ ╝☼4 b ♂ ♀ • ! z .

Thanks SkyKing
It works.....................

Question is knowing what combination of ALT + numbers ='s what will appear?
Anyone care to provide a list or know of the place to get that information????

My Apple has a built in program to convert the English language keyboard into another language. Thus typing in English automatically converts the contents to another selected language. The program also converts another language into English.

Translation software programs warning:
Not all English language words are found in all languages.
And some words have......YIKES!....double meanings!!!...

Thus there is a real needed (I.E. Read "Fair Warning") to re read before sending anything to anyone...LOL!
Being absolutely positive what you are saying is in fact what you really mean.

You could inadvertently be telling that person to go "Take A Flying $##@$!" you know what or where.....without even knowing it......YIKES!

In my case, usually those types of communications are between friends and or family members. Thus no offense is taken. Or could actually be implied by the sending party but not taken as offense by the receiving party...HAHAHA. Which means I could really be telling cousin to take the flying ##$#@[email protected] and he/she would be none the wiser... There are side benefits 'ya know.

When not using the Apple, the receiving party does the conversions. Thus it makes it possible to communicate in text with friends and or family in foreign countries.

2nd Question now is, is there such a program available for windows operating systems? If so, where and about how much....????

it's the ascii characters actually. lists are fairly common. completeness of the lists would be the only question:

Here is one:

http://www.asciitable.com/

This is a very good site:

To do degrees just hold down the Alt key and type 167.

-460Ί is absolute zero.

Right.

I believe that Alt + 167 = Ί, and Alt + 0176 = °. They print out a slightly different from each other.

They both work... then again, I could have software that adds to the ascii table that others may not. But I doubt it.
