How to use "Do It Yourself" site.

I know this has nothing to do with this site but can anyone tell me where I can find info relative to use and navigating through this site ..... sort of a "how to" when using the site. Are there published directions?

Possibly we could help if we knew what you were looking for.

Are you asking how to use the search feature?
The shopping feature?
Are you looking for a contractor?
The interactive tutorials?
The articles?
Are you needing help in a specific area? Home, Garden, Automotive?

If we know how you need help we will know where to direct you.

Good luck

The answer is "all of the above." I guess I'm looking for a place to go to, to find a tutorial on how to use the entire site with all of its components & features ... something like directions you get when you open a box with a new tool. How do you use it? How do you put all the pieces together? There's a lot of powerful stuff within the site that can be used if you know how to use it.

I don't know if I'm maing any sense!

Have you just look down and to the right go through the "Forum Jump" and find what you want to post in

Please click on forum faq at the top of the page to review the most frequently asked questions and there should also be a help section somewhere.

As mentioned, tell us spacific things you are trying to know how to do and we can help you with it.

It is really rather simple. When on the forums home page click a forum who's topic interests you. Start reading the posts and if you can help someone add your comments with the reply button. If you have a question select the new thread post and ask.(I guess you already know that one). Don't ask questions in PM(private message). I will ignore them if they are related to the post. Others who are reading the post want to see the results.
Don't post any advertisng.

Ed,

You ask a very good question.
When you say "this site" I'm not sure if you mean just the forums or the whole diy.com website.

Here is a link to the home page for diy.com where there is more than just the forums.
As far as a guide I would suggest you click on the links to see what is offered.

Site map link.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I'll spend some time exploring them. Thanks again.
