day off?

This morning I woke up and found my roommate still home, I guess there is no school today. This made wonder about work. I have Monday off from the law firm, what days do you have off from work?

I work for a mortgage co. and we get Monday off. Today...hopefully we get off early. Dunno yet, but our small little office is made up of me, my boss and the 1 loan rep so I'm sure we'll close early. Whoo hoo!

Merry Christmas all!

I no longer work but my wife does. She is a CNA and cares for a 95 yr old woman, she has had to work every Christmas for the last 4 yrs. So we have all the kids come over on Christmas eve and celebrate then.

I was going to be a cna,but the whole working with old people and not having holidays off makes me not want to do that. i like my time off.

I normally get Thursday off (yeehaw), but some weeks I don't get a day off. Them 13 day workweeks can make you lose a little sanity.

I've read a lot of your posts, nightowlpunk, you need to hang on to what sanity you have left.

As of now, my boss owes me two days off. Hopefully this summer if I have some spare money I can go to a Red Sox game and a Paw Sox game the next day. Only thing is that it would feel very strange having more than one day off in a row.

You need to get used to having time off, relaxing and enjoying life. You will live healthier and happier. I used to work all the time with few breaks - my body got mad and went on strike

Never heard of anyone on their deathbed ever saying 'I wish I'd spent more time at work.'

Had one of the two days off owed today. Good thing since I have a cold right now.
