This thread was edited as it appears to be nothing more than an ad for the show.

Neither of these two has ever made a positive contribution to society, they are worthless drains on it. Wouldn't watch their show unless you paid me enough that I could quit working.

Hmm, I just looked at the original poster's info and this is the only post ever contributed. Me thinks this might be advertising for this worthless, classless tv show.

Mitch17 - You are waaaaay too kind. It amazes me that two such worthless individuals get so much attention.

What's more amazing is that there are apparently enough people willing to watch them so that they stay on the air. They rate right up there with that other bimbo, Anna Nicole whatshername.

It's the old argument - don't hate the player, hate the game. You can't really blame those two for cashing in, what really bothers me is that our society will support such mindless, pointless crap.

I've seen many threads (the insurance one, the tree at sears) that to me were obviously advertising.

Why would someone promote a TV show? Is the network paying them? How do they know how much to pay them?

Seems like a lot of work for just a couple bucks. Not like you can mass email. You need to navigate to the site, log in and post.

Just curious.

It's a new form of advertising
A "grass roots" feel, and it really doesn't cost anymore than hiring someone to "cold call" people
Yes, people are paid to sit in a room and join forums and post ads
Usually not for TV shows though...lol...

Some of the more insidious ones allow the worker to post for days to "build up trust", and then start with the "hey, did you see this thing...it's great"

Hey, I had a REALLY good towing experience the other day when my car broke down. It was some company named ******* Towing Service. They were great!

[TowGuy now sits back and waits for the phone to start ringing off the wall].

As soon as my family saw that commercial they all looked at me and said it looked like something I would come up with and would act just like that guy on the ad. I would have to agree.
