I'm also on SLOW dial up but have had it happen occasionally. Usually retrying is all it takes. On the rare occasion that doesn't work, I try again later - you learn a lot about patience with dial up

I have comcast and use IE and have had no such or similar problems. Maybe you are on to something with the router idea.

The computer here at my friends is on high speed and Internet Explorer and no problems. In fact, since he got high speed, I now can post 5 times more.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree there Lex. It's not a problem with this site.

Have you tried getting into any other sites while you are having this problem with the DIY website?? It may still be your ISP or it may be one of the points between this site and you.

If it was this web site wouldn't the rest of us be experiencing problems.

Lex, This thread is dragging on an on and no one else is having the same problem. There HAVE been times when the site had problems but not like you are having. By the way, I AM on DIY at 5 A.M. The problem you are having is starting to remind me of a story about an old lady who's Son was in the Military Parade in her town and as she watched, she exclaimed " Look, everyone is marching out of step except my Son".

Ha. Good one. Like my uncle once asked all his party guests to check their shoes because he smelled dog doo-doo. Turns out it was on my UNCLES shoes. True story.

I had the same problem. It was later than that but I am in the eastern time zone. Depending upon where you are located, it may have been 4 pm your time.

Freeadvice.com/legal forums was having a problem as well. I would suspect this site (and free advice, they are owned by the same company (I think)) were having a server problem. Both sites seem to be up and running fine now.
