Not an aviation buff I take it , Annette? Think "Edwards Air Force Base".

hello everyone

Right about Edwards/Palmdale/Boron -

I stayed in Boron the night before I went on a tour through the "new" North American Aviation B70 (I think that was the name in the late 1960's). I also proweled/worked around the rocket engine acceptance test sites at Edwards and saw some strange planes from a distance. - Very interesting!!

The high desert is a very interesting place and can be a good place to live if you get acclimated to the weather extremes.

It is always good to be able to identify a forum poster with a geographical location to give a better answer.

I wish more people posting would give their location. - Its not like someone is stalking them.

Now Tow Guy, take it easy on Annette. Isn't there a Palm Dale on U.S. 27 near Lake Okeechobee? I used to take the Palm Dale road to Venice.

(Rapture, I got the final on my workshop. Now I can't get in to set everything up like I want because my son's Crankshaft went out on his Intregra. Currently, I have a car with the engine out setting in the shop.)

Palmdale, FL is out in the middle of nowhere - cattle ranches, orange groves, maybe some sugar cane and not much else.

Also Palmdales in PA, near Hershey, and MN, north of Minn/St Paul. Sparky will have to tell us which one.

None of which are very well known for shoes.

You know, Tow Guy, if you ever catch Annette on a bad day, she might just ban you.

Annette? A bad day? Impossible! Well, okay, maybe if she's wearing that pair that pinch her feet.

you know, i'm not exactly sure how this "shoe thing" got started, but it might be time to set the record straight. i hate shoes. i have a lot of shoes, but i only wear about 4 of them! right now, in the summer, i rotate 4 pairs of sandals: white, black, brown & navy - all the same style, just different colors. come winter, i wear boots: black or brown.

now then..........what WILL you boys have to talk about now?!?!

alright, alright..........I'M JUST KIDDING!!!!

seriously.......how do i GET to Palmdale for that sale????

Denial. Tch, tch.

The good news is you're about equal distance regardless whether it's Palmdale CA, PA, FL, or MN!

I seem to remember a thread about tool addiction, besides we have to have someone to pick on when we need to defend our need for a shop full of tools

Careful, Annette - without tool addicts, this site might not exist.
