Thumbs up how many????

so i'm in my 5-year-old daughter's room last night looking at her messy closet. i tell her she needs to straighten up her shoes & put them in a nice, neat row. mind you ~ she enjoys straightening them up & is very proud when she gets them all lined up. however, this time, she has too many pairs for ONE nice, neat row. so she starts a second row. this second row goes all the way around like the first row. so i ask her to count how many pairs of shoes she has. my jaw dropped when she stopped counting at 25. she's FIVE. granted, three of them were bunny slippers, ballet slippers, and tap shoes. but STILL.......25!!!!!

i was so proud.

If she has 25, assume you have 75! How do you keep track!

You were surprised that she had 25 pairs of shoes? Who buys them for her?
I don't know any 5 year old kids that need 25 pairs of shoes.

Just like her mom eh?

25 pairs of shoes?????!!!!!!!

I think I had 1 pair when I was her age. We didn't wear slippers back then. When we played in the backyard we were just barefoot.

25 pairs????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I just HAD to ask/say that again!)

Are they at least all worn and dirty? I hope so!

Does she have a shoe obsession like her mother? or does mommy have a shopping addiction?

I've never understood the opposite sex's attraction to shoes. When I remodeled our bedroom and closet, I included a 16 pair shoe rack. She figured out a way to double the capacity and still has a pile of shoes on the floor

BOTH!!!

when we're shopping, she always finds shoes she wants ME to try on! of course, they're all 5-inch-heel-street-walker-type styles!!! but she loves shoes, too. probably half of hers are flip flops. some are a little small from last year, some are just right, 2 are brand new & won't fit her til next summer (can't pass up those summer sales!!!). but.....yes........25.

I'm always buying fishing gear at yard sales. I don't even want to know how many tackle boxes, rods, and reels I have. And, I started on it around the same age. Consequently, I have to admit, I understand. She's got too many shoes for her age, (any age?), and I had too much fishing gear. I don't, however, have too much now. It just isn't possible to have too much fishing gear.

Talking Never To Many or To Much

I agree.

How many is to many?

Can never have to many 'shoes'! Just not possible.

Or to much 'fishing' gear. Just not possible either.

To many 'boat' shoes or 'deck' shoes that is... (There is a difference)

Nor to much fishing gear, to many fishing reels or poles either...

Anchors Away!...

AND it doesn't include more shoes you got her for the new school year...I mean the new shoes you are GOING to get her since you got some OTHER cute ones you saw instead of getting her new shoes for school.
