WalMart open Labor Day?

Messed up and forgot to go yesterday - anyone know whether WalMart stores are open today?

I'm pretty sure they are and in fact, I think ALL stores are open today. These days I think Easter and Christmas may be the only days that stores close at all and some (like Kmart) still stay open.

off course one of the country's largest exploiters of labor will be open today

(I'll bet the corporate offices are closed though)

Only interested in whether the labor is in, not management. I took the day off and gave my staff the day as well.

Me, too; gave the whole corporation a paid three-day weekend.

Their emergency roadside assistance is always open 24/7, but the offices or non essential personnel, (as they're called, ) themselves may not be.

I called the road side assistance yesterday. You know...the 800# and I got "...we're sorry but we're closed for Labor day, blah blah blah blah..." I called several times and all the other numbers they had too. Maybe I didn't listen very clearly?

Hmmm, well now that's strange. They're SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN ALWAYS!
After all, we don't just break down Monday thru Friday 9 - 5, LOL! I think I'd call them and complain and find out what's going on or go to their website and under Road Service Quick Links is a Customer Service Satisfaction link.
Maybe Tow Guy knows?

That's what I thought! Hmmm...Just found they ARE supposed to be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year...

Interesting. Maybe I have to upgrade or something

Oh rats. Ignore me. Blonde moment!

I just called them right now and realized I chose the wrong button!

When you call the 800 # it says..

"If you need roadside assistance, please press or say 1. If you need other services, please press or say 2...etc."

I pressed 2.

Guess that puts me at ease b/c I was going to make sure I didn't break down or need roadside assistance anytime after dark.

Bite your tongue! I'm blonde

Good to know they really are working 24/7. I'd hate to break down in the middle of the night only to find out I have to wail till morning

And Tow Guy avoids talking about AAA.

Here, I'll offend you both!:

A dumb Blonde died and went to Heaven. When she got to the Pearly Gates, she met Saint Peter who said, "Before you get to come into Heaven, you have to pass a test."

"Oh, No!" she said but Saint Peter said not to worry he'd make it easy.
"Who was God's son?" said Saint Peter.
The dumb Blonde thought for a few minutes and said "Andy!"
"That's interesting... What made you say that?" said Saint Peter
Then She started to sing "Andy walks with me! Andy talks with me! Andy tells me..."

OK TG, here goes:

Why do men whistle while they're sitting on the toilet?

A: It helps them remember which end to wipe!

HA!

Why do female black widow spiders kill their males after mating?

A: To stop the snoring before it starts.

Tee, hee

Talking

One more:

A man and his wife were sitting in the living room and he said to her:

"Just so you know, I never want to live in a vegetative state dependent on some
machine. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

His wife got up and unplugged the TV.

A car was driving down the street when all of a sudden it started swerving. The car was going back and forth till someone with a cell phone called the police. A police officer pulled the car over. A blonde rolls down the window and says, " Officer, I'm so glad you are here. I saw a tree in the road, then I saw another. So I had to swerve to keep from hitting it!" The officer looks at her, then says, "Ma'am, that's your air freshener."

A blonde was driving down the highway to Disneyland when she saw a sign that said "DISNEYLAND LEFT".
After thinking for a minute, she said to herself "Oh well !" and turned around and drove home.

On her way home the same blonde drove past another sign that said "CLEAN RESTROOMS 8 MILES".
By the time she drove eight miles, she had cleaned 43 restrooms.

I'm done.

Sad to say, lot of big box retail are open pretty much all the holidays... Bout the only holiday most of them close is Christmas! Less and less store are closed on Thanksgiving. I hope Home Depot Copy the other guys.

Uggh!!! I refuse to work on Easter! I put request to be off that day, no questions.

Stores will start closing on holidays when people stop shopping on them.

Nothing more complicated than that I'm afraid.

If your business could get another 150k in sales (or more), just for being open 1 extra day a year, you'd probably think twice about closing the doors too and most people working at those places can't afford to lose 8 hrs pay, holiday or not.
