Show off

Okay, now that images are working again, I can't help showing off my handywork on our new bedroom floor.

Kind of ironic.

I messed with your link and it looks like Kodak is blocking any attempt to code the url.

From the Kodak Gallery website:
You agree not to use the Service:to make images hosted by Kodak Imaging Network available for viewing by the general public through a publicly posted link to the image or otherwise (other than through the public gallery you create using the Premier Service or through your Marketplace as described in Parts C and D of these Terms);
Looks like you need to subscribe to Photobucket.

Even this link won't work unless you copy and paste it into a new browser window!

http://images.kodakgallery.com/photo...9109_0_ALB.jpg

Excellent job by the way.

This is weird!

I did see the image when I last posted and now on a different computer I can't see it.

Never had this problem before and would guess it's because of the Kodak site.

Actually I have photobucket, too; didn't realize Kodak were such tight-butts.

Nice floor.

The message above was too short so I had to add this message.

I should dig up a picture of the old carpet that was there (didn't take a "before" shot) to get the full effect.

Wow! I'm impressed enough to forgive you for hijacking my thread! I wondered from time to time how the skateboard project was coming.

Hmmm, only one question: Is someone other than your son (not related) going to be using the finished product? I have visions of lawsuits dancing in my head.

Ya mean kids (that I don't know) jumping over the wall and using it? Hope not. I had the same thought. As for inviting the neighborhood kids... Supposed to be a secret but I highly doubt my son sealed his mouth shut.

DIY you may want to pop over to the legal discussion thread and ask about consent forms. Hubby says the neighborhood parents who had "skate parks" in their back yards had everyone sign one. Skate safe!

That's a cool project though - much cooler than my pantry (I hope to hijack the thread in a couple weeks with photos of it)

Nice job TG. I did our bedroom with hardwood but I dont have as much floor showing as you do as my wife put down rugs right away. Cold feet. Looks good.

Diy, thats incredible! I couldn't do that. Bet you can hardly wait to try it out! . And isn't that the cindercrete wall that was discussed in a previous thread?

Yeah, it's fake, the click together stuff by Armstrong. Pretty hard to tell from the real stuff. We don't have much of a problem with cold floors, but we'll see how it is in Jan-Feb when the temps get down in the (BRRRR!) 50s & 60s.

Annette works for the Home Fashion Police???

Just threw a sheet over the mattresses for the pictures; we weren't through yet. Furniture rearranging would be hard; the bed HAS to go against that wall. Replacement dressers and night stands are on my woodworking shop agenda.

VERY nice fake stuff TG!!! Who says the bed HAS to go against the wall?

mjd2k: I think the only thing I talked about in a previous thread about the wall was that kids were climbing over to get there ball or something. That was quite some time back though. Haven't seen them since.

Couple weeks ago there was a guy that tossed over an empty beer box and me and BF caught him in the act. I told my son to toss it back over. BF looked over the wall and told the guy, "I wouldn't mind if it had beer in it" BF then noticed empty soda cans and water bottles and tossed those back over too.

Let me rephrase that, the current location is the only one that works so that we don't have to walk around it to get from place to place. In this shot the wall to my left is a sliding glass door to the pool deck and to my right is the door to the master bath.

Quote: "Couple weeks ago there was a guy that tossed over an empty beer box and me..."

Hope you at least landed on the empty beer box to break your fall.
