Avatars Annoying is it me?

Trying to read a post watching a cartoon beating his head against a desk is a bit annoying/distracting. Do we realy need these? Am I in the minority in feeling this way?

It's just a creative form of expression. Don't bather me a bit. Most of the time I don't even notice.

Ours are tame compared to some of the others. I frequent the Dodge Cummins forums, and some of theirs are out there. Some cool, some obnoxious.

I like them and they don't bother me at all. It never occured to me that they may bother someone.

I like them too I think it adds empahsis to a post. It's a good thing they can't use it a million times I actually wish there were some other ones.

You can go to your "User CP" and "edit option" and turn off avatars. Then you won't see any avatars from anyone.

so because you find animated avitars annoying no one can have them. why ruin it for everyone just disable them so you can't see them. those that find them annoying must suffer from AADD (Adult attention-deficit disorder)

If an avatar annoys you enough to rate being put on your list, consider yourself very lucky. I have a list of a whole lot more important c*ap that annoys me. I wish they were so minute I could put them behind an avatar annoiance.

the op asked if anyone else found them annoying

so I shouldn't express my opinion when a question is posted

(or is "flirtys' opinion the only one allowed )

I find them distracting, even the cute/funny ones, but think a poster has a right to use them if they choose.....I did see one once that was inappropriate. A little cartoon character man pouring a flammable liquid over himself, lighting a match, setting himself on fire, writhing in agony, then falling to the ground, dead.....now,that's just sick.

you posted your opinion and i posted mine. just because you hate animated avatars does not give you the right to stomp them out if someone else wants them you have the option of not having them show just for you that way others can keep them.

Generally it's the picture by your screen name, in your case the guy carrying the pickup on his shoulder. Some also say it the smilies and stuff you can add in with your text.
