How about dropping that 180 seconds

This got lost in a closed thread. Hope it wasnt closed cause of me. I think this is a real good idea.

How about dropping that 180 seconds between posts rule for anyone that has more than 100 posts. If you have 100 posts and they havent kicked you off here, it should be pretty obvious that you are not a spammer, advertiser or any of those other bad people.:bad poster:

Ok so what do you all think

Johnny

And the 25 character rule after X number of posts. Sometimes a simple Yes is enough if your just confirming something deep into a thread.

Ya'll....juuuussssttttt...neeeeeed....tooooooo....tyyyyyppppe...slowwwwwwweeeerrrrr.

See, 2 things solved with one post...lol

Seriously though...this has been brought up several times in my short time here. Re-writing programs takes time, time is money. If this were just starting up, then it could be easily changed...now, its just mostly fix problems as they occur. I'm sure some of the Programmer guys could change it in no time...but would they do it for free?

Not saying it's not a good idea.

The wait time and min char count are options in the settings of vbulletin (along with tons of others). It'd take 10 seconds to change it, maybe 30 seconds to set it so it only applies to new users.

It's beating a dead horse, as it's been asked many many times to be changed and hasn't.

Come on...I lived in VA longer than anywhere else in my life.

I know, to you "true Southerners", that doesn't really count right? Well, don't tell my Ex-wife that...lol.

I get criticized for my accent no matter where I go

Hey, when I grew up on the South Side of Atlanta, I thought the Mason Dixon line was I-20. That would make North Atlanta Union. I just never knew better.

Think I got it figured out Towguy. You must be one of the godfather posters on this site or you got gerandfathered in. Is it possible that I could be right?

You're membership has been extended, Johnny.
