Weather

Whichever of you snow-country folk who left the door open, can you close it??? Second day in a row in jeans instead of shorts. Geez! Going to be in the 60's another 4 or 5 days!!!

100 Degree Rule

National Weather Service has egg on their face today. Forecast was for -32 F with 15-20 mph winds, causing dangerous wind chills. So, pretty much all schools from Duluth north to the border are closed today.

Ha....I only had -22 F at eight this morning with winds of 5 mph or so. Took the dog out to pee at 9 and it was almost nice out. Not 'shorts' weather but not too bad.

Forecast for tonight is -36 but I'll believe it when I see it.

I use the 100 rule......if it's 100 colder outside than inside, I might stay in.

Yup, we hit the magic number when -40 Celsius equals -40 fahrenheight. No conversion required. Thats without wind chill. I do closet organizers and do the cuts outside. My saws barely turn and unravelling extension cords is like bending 2 x 4s. But if you dress for it, its no big deal.

I guess in Florida you worry about wind-burn.
I am always surprised to see how cold minnesotta gets. I thought we had the monopoly on cold but its as miserable there as here.

Tomorrow we're getting up to 32 degrees!!!!!!!! Its a chinook!

The weather service might have it right this time....-26.4 F at 1:45 AM. It could be nippy by morning.

I am always surprised to see how cold minnesotta gets...
Me too. I don't know why but the cold just seems to come down to my house then move east.

Oh well, summer is right around the corner.

I was going to complain about -22, but you guys make me feel almost warm, almost. At least the cars started and the wood stove is going.

TG, as far south as we are, it was 6 F this morning, and we're only 450 miles from you. 8F predicted for tomorrow. I like our cold wx, but you guys up nawth take the cake. Sort of like Chicago, two seasons, winter and the 4th of July.

Ya, it was down to 6 degrees here too, they had forecast 4` My wife was concerned it would be too cold for the dog.... but he has a fur coat. . . I took an old bath rm rug and put it in the dog house but he must not have liked it, when I went out to feed him this morning he was covered with frost

Oh and the news man said this morning we didn't get any frost..... but all our vehicles were white. I think the dog might beg to differ too

Why haven't we sued Canada yet for these arctic blasts? There must have been dumber lawsuits in this country. Its kinda funny that I was looking at Dumb Laws, Stupid Laws: We have weird laws, strange laws, and just plain crazy laws! . In Little Rock Arkansas, it is against the law for the Hope River to cross Main ST.
