License to put carpet in commercial building?

Do you need a license to put carpet and drywall in a commercial building in Colorado?

I don't know specifics about your locale, but generally you need a business license to do any type of contract work. If you're working by the hour and they're taking out taxes, you don't need a license but you do if you bid the job.

Stop by the local code office and find out.
In my town any thing commercial they keep a close eye on anything else the home owner can get the permit if ones needed and get anyone or there self can do the work and as long as it passes inspection it's golden. The next town over wants anyone doing anything to have a class A B or C contractors licence and a local business licence, Even painting, siding, roofing is included.
