Smile Move over California!

We just had a nice size Earthquake over on the right side. Actually happened in Virginia, and we felt it all the way up here in Philly! All the large old building's (there's a lot of them) are being evacuated. Can't use my cell phone either.

That was just a "toy" shake, but it was good since it came on a slow news day.

Unfortunately, the major cost will be the engineering studies for the Pentagon and the re-enforcement/modification projects. The president did not feel it while at Cape Cod, but I assume there will also be renovations to the White House to preserve the image and historic structure that even survived the Harry Truman bath tub incident that caused a structural failure(?).

Heard a rumor that there was concern over a "tilt" in the Washington Monument but so far I think that's just a rumor.

One of the co-workers was working from home today - so we told him that his cube (and just his cube) got hit by some odd resonating shock waves:

I thought most everything in the capital has been leaning to the left for the last several years

Well, as with everything else in DC, the direction of the tilt depends on which side you look at it from.

Stand by the doubling of your homeowner's insurance rates.
