Ames blue max

Helllo
Has anyone used this product and had good results. We are thinking of using it to seal/waterproof our concrete basement floor wall joint.

Welcome to the forums!! As long as you do it from the outside, you betcha!! Waterproofing is not accomplished from the inside. If you saw any of their demonstrations you note the tank they filled was coated on the inside.......but the water was put on the inside so the static pressure of the water pressed against the walls and bottom. Same theory with your basement. Water pressure, if enough, will displace any coating you put on the inside.
Is the floor to wall joint leaking?

Ames blue max

Hi Chandler
No the joint is not leaking when the sump pump is plugged in. We just find the efflorescence on the floor whenever we leave a box directly on the concrete and around the poles. When I contacted Ames they suggested using the blue max with sealing tape on the joint and then covering the entire basement floor with blue max. We have about 2000 square ft to cover. Before spending this amount we wanted some opinion from other users.
