Advertising on right side of screen is covering up posts

The advertising on the right side of the screen is covering up part of the posts that I cannot see or read part of the posts. Anybody else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Someone just posted about this same issue last week:
http://www.doityourself.com/forum/ge...orum-view.html

Seems to be an issue with IE8. What browser are you using?

I'm using IE8. I'll read the link you left me, hopefully it'll help.

Ok, so I see that no one has an answer on how to fix this. I'll try back in a couple of days and hopefully it'll be fixed. Very frustrating that you cannot read any of the threads and make heads or tails out of them. Every post has the right side of it covered up by advertising. I'm thinking plenty of people besides myself are using IE8. Im not having problems on any other sites, and not looking to change my browser.

Maybe it's how you have your browser configured. As I said, I'm using IE8 and I am not having the problem. On my monitor the forum view/threads take up about 75% of the screen and the ads are to the right and they are spaced about 1/4" away from the threads. There is no overlap.

I am using Firefox 8.0 and I get the same view as Wayne. I detest IE but to each their own.

Could be, I'm not tech savy enough to know what to change. Does anyone have any ideas on what settings in IE8 may need to be changed?

Johnny, you may want to try Start-Control Panel-DIsplay-Settings tab-and change your resolution to 1024-768. Not sure it will work on IE8, but it and AdBlock plus on FIrefox keeps the boogers away.

I use Firefox 8.0 and the ads cover the posts for me also. Yes I have Adblock Plus activated and it still does it. I sent a report to Adblock on it.
