My Dog Is A Happy Camper

I usually buy a 10# tube of hamburger then barbecue him little 2" hamburgers for treats.

Bought me a beef boneless pot roast and noticed the price was the same, $2.99 a pound. Seems odd to me, maybe a special.

Got to thinking.....would he rather have hamburger or a roast? No brainer, one roast for me and two for him.

Only bad part is he now walks around with this stupid grin on his face.

Boy, your dog sounds spoiled! I'm guilty of baking pepperonis in the oven just for my little dog!

Welcome to the forums, Jimmy! Sounds as if your dog isn't too far behind Baldwin's in the spoiled category

Baldwin....I hesitated to read your post because of the title. I think I love my pets more than what little family I have.

I hope you didn't feed them both to him at once!

Geez, that never crossed my mind till you mentioned it. Sorry. I watched The Green Mile the other day and that song is on a loop in my brain....Heaven, I'm in heaven, and my heart something or another by Bing Crosby I think.

As far as being spoiled, I don't think so. I've bought him 'treats' from the grocery store, not so good. Went online and bought some from KV Pets, even worse. So, rather than waste my money on garbage I figured what could be better than plain ol' beef? He likes it and I only give him a little each day with his dog food.

Back to the real question: isn't it crazy that hamburger costs the same as a boneless pot roast?

If your family is like my family, I don't blame ya.

Yeah, normally hamburger is cheaper.

Me three.

I think I love my pets more than what little family I have.
Not all, but some. I love my pets LIKE family. I definitely love animals more than a lot of people.

My dog must be heaven too because she's super spoiled! :HF2:

Me four I thought your little dog had really gone to heaven. I am more a cat person no offense meant and all of my girl cats have met their reward in heaven. My Buttercup used to like water melon so I say feed them what you want Baldwin as long as you keep the treats to a minimum. When my cat Buttercup was alive I asked the vet is it o.k. for her to have water melon and he just laughed and said sure just keep it to a minimum.

My cat was in heaven too lately. I bought a Butterball turkey roast. It turned out one end was dark meat. I don't like dark meat. The cat was happy for over a week but I got news for her it will be a cold day in the oven before I buy another of those turkey roasts.

P.S. I also have been avoiding this post till tonight. Becky, can you change the title?

Edit: Dang I didn't know I could change subjects here. Subject changed.

Better yet, someone just delete the whole thread and avoid the confusion.

Sorry about that.

I hope you don't have it deleted. Maybe a name change like my crazy pet. While I don't have any pets now I enjoy reading posts about other peoples pets. Gregishome I think your dog might have issues too but it is a neat picture so I hope they don't delete it.

As it turns out you don't need super powers to change titles. Title is changed.

My wife and I are both ashamed of the way we spoiled our GR. She was 85 lbs at 2 y.o., now at 6 years old she is 112 lbs. All because we did not have the willpower to not give her extra treats and food from the table.

We are afraid she is going to get hip dysplasia from the extra weight, as GR's are prone to HD anyway. We are trying hard now to cut the extra food we give her, and we got her a jogging suit. Hopefully she will get buff now.

Thanks Ray! Unfortunately, I didn't buy all the roasts they had. Looked yesterday and they are up to 3.99 and hamburger only 3.49. Can't win but he sure does like pot roast.

Thank you Ray too I like the new name and I am glad it wasn't deleted. I hope you keep this thread going. Greg another neat picture since you are the author of the pictures do you mind if I copy and paste them? My friend from Tennessee has a dog and I think he might like to see those pictures. He has internet but where he lives just has dial up so he doesn't go to web pages much. Have a nice day!

Yes you may HC, Sunny would take it as a compliment. My wife retired and had too much time on her hands while playing with Sunny. She found out the dog loved the camera and my wife always wanted a daughter to dress up, but had two sons. Sunny got to be the daughter
