Since when is spreading chemicals at 35,000 feet the most effective way to distribute them on the ground? I never heard of crop duster going that high. It's dumb. Really, really dumb.
Ya, when I told that story to my 11 yr old grandson, he said "that guy is crazy"

I recall in 1973 during the "energy crisis" the houses we were building did not get natural gas put to them so, we all went to electric heat of some sort (although we were asked not to turn on our Christmas lights to save energy) . ....
In 1973 I was working in a utility that generated about 80% of the power they sold, down to around 50%-60% today. I can't state a specific percentage but back then all but a tiny fraction of the power we generated was from hydro projects; I worked in the steam plants. The utility put out the word to conserve and when people saw the smoke coming from stacks of the 1914-1921 steam plant (conveniently located close to the downtown business area of the city) they KNEW we were in a crisis. We were only running at at about 70% of the full-time steady state rating of the station but within a few weeks the power dispatcher had us cut back to less than 50% output because we were shutting down the river flows at the hydro plants.

Funniest thing is that we weren't even running for the local load, the utility was selling all the power to California and making a killing, charging something like 10 cents per kWh when the cost of generation was around 4 or 5 cents.

As for HAARP...they have their own website, but maybe it isn't trustworthy as it IS a government/educational owned site.
