Spammers

What's with this latest spat of out-of-the-country spammers ? They've been popping up on websites everywhere.

We have them here too but you are less likely to see them because of the number of mods.

I would also like to add the number of regular members too that report spammers. If I see spam I report it immediately and it is taken care of within at least a few hours. On another well known website that deals in home improvement even if I reported a spammer nothing was done but here it is like home only with no one to try to sell you something because they are zapped like mosquitoes in an electric trap

Yes, all members here help and that is much appreciated. If you see Spam look for the little triangle at the bottom left below the post and send a message.

When you report a post, try to include as much info as you can.
These out of country spammers (some not English) come in waves. This forum is pretty quick to evaluate and remove spam.

You can just write Spam or Advertising, which is plenty enough info.

When I report spam I like to give as much information as possible like for instance if someone gives me a link and it looks like advertising which is a real no no here I let them know. If the link is just to inform someone of a few options for something then in my opinion that isn't advertising a product it is just letting that person know of different options and trying to be helpful. Sometimes it is a judgement call and I let them decide.
