Just needed to share.

I just pulled a googly eye out of my daughters nose. Very bizarre and a little bit scary, but it all ended well.

What's a googly eye?

Back in the 80's my youngest son had a pencil broke off in his ear by a classmate. I took him to one of those walk in clinics since I didn't have insurance at the time. The doctor explained how serious it was and what he would try to do to remove it. He spent a fair amount of time getting ready along with 2 assistants. When they went to position my son's head for the procedure - the end of the pencil just fell right out!

That's funny about the pencil falling out. I bet you still had to pay the fee!.

Amazon.com: Accoutrements Emergency Googly Eyes: Toys & Games

They are used for craft projects. The one my daughter had was probably about 3/8" in diameter. She had chewed on it so it crumpled up into a smaller shape. She must have stuck it in her nose and pulled it out a few times before she put it in so far she couldn't get it. I hope she was able to understand she shouldn't put anything like that in her nose or her ear. Only time will tell.

When I was 4 I pried the whistle out of my rubber ducky and stuck it in my nose. The doctor just smiled as he removed it with forceps. I saw that same smile 10 years later when I showed up with a self diagnosed case of roids. I refused to let my parents inspect the problem area. Official diagnosis: poison ivy. Apparently the oil off the poison ivy can end up on other leaves after a flood.
