Actually it is the front yard of the rental cabin up the mountain from the house. Wifey was cleaning it today and noted the vast difference in colors.

Why bring a camper, Mike, when you can stay in a nice warm environment on normal beds? Yep, W/E/S, and that's about all. Long distance and internet.

That really is beautiful you are so fortunate to have woods near your property where you can see such beautiful leaves. That must be a very quiet and peaceful place.

I agree the fall colors are beautiful! but Larry failed to mention all the work involved keeping the leaves off of the road A layer of wet leaves on top of a gravel road on an incline doesn't make for good traction

We are surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, so no one can build beyond our property. Quiet is our selling point. Thanks, Richard.

Edit: Yes, I have to run the ZTR over the driveway to keep it clear of leaves. Lasts about a month, then clear again.

This morning was particularly beautiful in NC. The color of the rising sun really added to the leaves color.

What are those tall things sticking out of the ground with the colored stuff on them? We have similar here, but they have needles and stay green all year. And they burn like crazy in the summer time.

Well I have a camper larry..I can stay at tracrock with full hookups for 34 bucks a night... How can I beat that???

Trackrock Campground and Cabins

No tourisim fee of 12% there.... Or cleaning fee....

Being a flatlander I would not expect to pay $145 a night anywhere south of the mason dixon line....even at motel 6....

Just saying you get more bees with honey.....

Trackrock is a great campground. They have horses stables as well. It's about 2 miles from us. There's only one cleaning fee for the stay, even if it is a week.

It's really funny. We rent the cabin quite a bit here lately. Someone is in there nearly every weekend. EXCEPT this weekend, which is the peak of leaf change season I would have thought I'd have to turn people down. The snow birds have left for Sarasota, but we have the leaf lizards who flock in for the last peak at the mountains in full color, then leave for the winter.

Leaf season up here in Maine is a big deal. Had a job carry over an extra day in Portland and asked the hotel to extend us another night. Sorry was the answer, everything was booked from Boston to Bangor. I said I lived in Bangor so would use my own bed if I had to go that far. By 3 am we finally found a no show bed and got a shower and a few hours sleep, but I have learned to plan my travels in advance during this time of year.

Great pictures. Mother nature doesn't leave them up very long so you have to snap when you see them.

Bud
