Is there any way the technicians can make filling out the location mandatory for new member applications? Far too many people seem to think it is unimportant.

One problem is members are now allowed to join through social media instead of the sites interface.

I've complained about this same problem on many other forums. My feeling are if a person want's the proper help they will give all the info needed.

I've been banned, cussed at, told it's none of my business just from asking there location.
New posters are asking code, insulation, frost depth, where to buy something locally, ECT.
But no one knows where they are on the planet.
Some act like where going to tip off the code police if they so much as add what state there in.
I'm in the state of confusion as to why it's such a big deal to require it.
