Yeah, here, you have to give right of way to all emergency vehicles, no matter what lane they are stopped in. Stop, move over, stay out of the way.

I've never understood someone not slowing down/giving wide berth to anyone on the side of the road! I don't know if the tenn law includes tow drivers but the new law they passed a few yrs ago says we have to change lanes or drastically slow down for police cars stopped on the side of the road. Common sense dictates giving any pedestrian as much room as possible!

Ditto, I've been moving over for stopped emergency vehicles since I was 16 and nobody had to tell me to do it. Trust me, when I'm working on the side of the road I have one eye on the job and one eye back up the road. I don't have a big problem when traffic is bumper to bumper in all lanes, but when traffic is light and there's no reason for someone to not move over it drives me nuts.
