Today's Question

Below is the Screenshot of the order page I bought a hard drive from.

Size: 34.5 KB

Notice the word "new" in the middle of the page. Would you expect a Hard Drive manufactured in 2007? Would you expect the hard drive to have Windows installed with files for multiple users.

This year just keeps getting better and better.

Sure. New old stock.

Uh..No. That would not be "new" then.

Uh...Ray...you bought a HD from a seller in India? WTH did you expect? You know thats where much of the recycled PCs go. As well as Pakistan and China.

You maybe saved $50 over buying retail or a reliable online seller like Tigerdirect. Whats the point?

They are blaming everything on a new employee in shipping but are taking full responsibility. They will reimburse me for what I paid plus my cost to ship it back. Not bad really.

Thanks to all who replied.

I buy most of my hard drives from Amazon and for the same reason as you Ray because of gift cards. I don't remember the exact reason maybe Amazon messed up the address of a person who I was sending a book to or it was a return. Anyway it was bought on my gift card balance and once it was returned to Amazon I was able to use that same balance for something else. Amazon may be a bit higher for some things but I believe they give excellent service.
