good idea, bad idea

We've all seen those web sites that have cute short cuts or clever ideas or the typical People of Walmart. But here are two that struck me as unique.

1) Stupid...

2) Near Genius...

Black and Decker actually made a powered scrub brush with that identical head. I have one here and use it all the time.

Ah, the B&D "Scumbuster". I bought mine many years ago and still use it. The unfortunate thing is that replacement scrubber pads are horribly overpriced. I've been using a piece cut from a standard Scotchbrite pad but I think I will buy a floor machine buffing pad and cut out several pads for a fraction of what B&D wants.

Mine uses a single VersaPak battery. After several years it would no longer hold a charge and I bought the VersaPak Gold. That was at least five years ago and it is still going as well as when new. I've thought about making it a corded unit with a wall wart but as long as the battery holds out I'm not doing anything but using the thing.

I like #1 wonder how often you have to toss the clothes around so they dry evenly

Count me as another Scumbuster owner, with a fresh battery.
