Door install nightmare

Got a call from our local millworks to remove an old and install a new front door. Simple task. It was a log home with D-log trim around inside and outside. Once the trim was off, we had to drive shims in between the door frame and the house framing in order to get a reciprocating saw blade in to cut the nails . Got the door frame freed up and had to cut the head frame from the assembly in order to get the door out, because it wouldn't tip out. Whoever built the house put the door in and built the walls around it. LUCKILY it was square and plumb, so the new door went in without incident. No shims, just the obligatory 3" hinge screws.

Never had that before.
