Kudos to NASCAR

Those folks KNOW how to pick performers/singers who know how to sing the National Anthem!!

I'm so tired of poor anthem singers I don't even watch that portion of the show any more. So it was decent this time?

Chorus from Patrick AFB. Generally some of the best renditions are done by choruses IMHO, rather than the "GRAMMY AWARD WINNING SINGER"s.

I agree. Today many singers try to put their own mark on the anthem. And that's not right.
Years back my middle daughter had the opportunity to sing the anthem at several of our minor league Baseball team home games. Always in the traditional way and always met with many kudos.

On a similar note I always find it gratifying to note that here Buffalo (and maybe other boarder cities) that we always sing both the Canadian and American anthems at sporting even, especially hockey. When it comes to the NHL I think all NHL cities should play the Canadian anthem weather or not a Canadian team is playing.

IMO they usually do a great job with the national anthem at NASCAR events ...... but then I don't watch other sports and don't have much to compare it to

They also sing the Canadian anthem at the Michigan race.

It seems like the amateurs do a better job than the pro's they bring in. The pro's always try to make it better and wreck it.
