Just a (97 year old house) picture

I was walking out of our jobsite on a 97 year old house and caught this pastoral scene across the road. The guy who lives there has his quarters to the right and the mule lives in the left. Thought it was neat.

Larry, do you have a larger version you could link to? I'd like to see if I can make it into a wallpaper with out cropping too much off the sides.

Thanks,
Ray

I like the picture too Larry and it reminds me of that family I told you about a while back that lives in one part of the barn and the animals in the rest. It certainly saves time if you don't drive and would rather use a mule as transportation. I can't speak as to which is cheaper transportation but the mule at least knows its way home.

Ray, sent you a PM with a URL. Let me know if it works. I resized it back to original after having to reduce it for forum use.

I painted a barn that was a little more than half house. There was a small section on one side along with the entire loft. It was brand new construction. A yr or so later the owner told me he had to evict his livestock as their odor was drifting into his living quarters

It could be the same place that I saw on Netflix on a show called You Live In What and the title fairly well sums up some weird places to live. According to the family at least at the time they recorded the show they had divided their house enough to keep the smell away and had a separate duct system between the animals and them. Still though that was kind of weird and not really a place I would live in.

Larry do you still have my e-mail address? If you do could you send me that picture too please. I think it will go though my e-mail system if the original file size is not too large. If you don't have it anymore I will e-mail you and then you can try it. I really would like that for wall paper too. You have a great eye for photography my friend!

Richard, either PM or email your address and I will send it to you. Thanks for all the interest. It just sort of was staring me in the face as we left work.

This reminds me of a picture I took many years ago of a farm scene similar to this. It was just dumb luck but balance was perfect. What made it interesting was that my friend who lived there complained that he tried for years to get just the right pic and could not do it. I come along and just do it. That was back in 1980 and it has since faded.
