Instruction manual

We bought a new bedroom humidifier. The 8 page instruction manual is typical of one written by a person that has English as a second (3rd?) language.

One entry in particular cracked me up - "do not touch the transduction (?) when the humidifier is working, otherwise you will have the feel of pain."

My favorite is from years ago when I was building a prototype of some electronic thing or another that had an LCD display. The display came in the typical antistatic bag with a label that read:

Take you body earth before take out.

That's funny. It's not English but you must admit they're right.
I lived in the Philippines for several years and my favorite was the instant hot water heater instructions for the shower:

Open Water. Open Light. Shower.

What's with all this "instruction book" reading??? It's not very manly to say the least. Sorry Becky.
