Christmas lights

Ebenezer Scrooge or Clark Griswold?

For 30+ years we have done window candles and a spot light on the front of the house. Takes a hour max to set up. This year wife decides to decorate outside.

I spent the last two days freezing MAO, in 32* temps with 20 mph north winds,
to put lights on the house and garage and wrapping trees with lights. The only good thing is that I bought outlet remotes for the lights.

PS - Is it OK to say "Christmas" here or will someone be offended?

Fortunately I live far enough off of the road that it doesn't make a lot of sense to decorate outside
For the last 10 yrs or so we've just had a little 3' tree we set on a table - works for me But this year my wife got it in her head that we need to do better and went out and bought a 6' tree. IMO it takes up too much room and more time to decorate ...... but then I've been called a scrooge and I never miss an opportunity to say 'bah humbug' but I do always say Merry Christmas!!
