Stickey Situation

Major road here shut down when the recently clear sealed pavement started sticking cars and trucks. Even some 18 wheelers became mired in the road and couldn't escape.

Drivers stuck in asphalt on SH 146, Kemah police shut down...

.... just when you thought you'd heard it all

Surely it's not hot enough this time of year for that to be the cause, probably a chemical issue with the asphalt/sealer.

Yes, the contractor is baffled but says it has to be a bad batch. Last up date the contractor was scraping every bit of it off the roadway. The contractor is paying for the cost to clean and repair ever car and truck affected. (Love to see his new insurance premiums.) Wonder if his insurance company will sue the asphalt company.

I guarantee the insurance company will go after anybody, and everything, they can to recover their costs.

Without a doubt, that's a sticky situation.

Amazing... Strong enough adhesive to hold captive a semi truck...

Can't walk on it?

Wondering how to remove stuck vehicles...

Maybe a or a

One can rest assured the legal beagles are already gathering together to begin drafting up a class action law suit...
