I wish I still had the issue of Popular Electronics where they predicted that no hobbiest OR business would EVER need more then 1MEG of data storage space. 1978-ish. That prediction didn't wear well.

Yes, a reminder from the past. There were some interesting side effects uncovered from those early Picturephone days like, the lady of the house would need an hour to get ready before she would allow anyone to see her. Of course the cost back then, early 70's doomed their growth, but it did set the stage for the future when transmission costs plummeted. Face to face is far better than voice, text, or email.
