Another Father's day come and gone.

I feel a bit older but happier for all of it. My children gave me Tim Horton gift cards (I'm a sucker for those) and son # 1 gave me a $50 Harbor Freight gift card. I told him that will go towards supplies for our (his) cabin. All five kept it simple and I'm glad for that. I now understand why my Father-in-law would insist that when it came to gifts on birthdays, Christmas and the like that he did not want or need anything. He said if we must, get him a bottle of his favorite liquor that he could consume and enjoy without any clutter or collecting junk he did not need.

Amen. I got gift cards for HD and Lowe's, a new Tom Clancy book, and a Jeff Dunham DVD. Also 18 holes this morning with wife and both kids. My gang knows what I like.

One of my sons gave me $50 HF gift card also
One of my stepsons picked up the wrong bag and accidentally brought me library books instead
