Great timing! I just last Monday bought me a pick 'em up. 97 Mazda B2300 (Ford Ranger), 4 cyl, 5 speed. Only 122K miles. And cheap compared to what some pieces of rusty beat up junk are selling for. They're real proud of their trucks out here, and if it's 4WD you'd think it was gold plated. It's in really good shape, except for a few little niggles (tires, door handle, interior/cargo light switch)...oh, and the A/C quit the day the guy drove it home from the corner where he had it 4-sale. I'm hoping it's just a low charge or some electrical fault. He said the compressor would still kick in if he jumps the low pressure(?) switch. Ah, well, it's almost fall anyway.

I remember CW McCall\, kind of the first rapper.

Never heard that one before. Truck looks like something I towed last week.

Reminds me of almost every $350- $500 truck or van I ever bought. One van was almost out of gas. 11:00 o'clock at night I managed to get as far as the nearest gas station. Put gas in the tank, turned the key, and the starter was dead.

My current truck has a 360 V8. I knew going in it would be hard on gas but the first time I really drove it I was surprised that the gas hand barely moved going to town and running errands, so I didn't take the time to fill up ...... and ran out on the way home even though the gauge said I had almost a quarter tank. Later on the tank sprung a leak and the replacement tank had a working gauge!

When I bought my Kodiak it was riding on the axles. Thought to myself "The air bags are all dry rotted, easy $150 fix" Turns out the brackets holding the air bags to the suspension failed and bent the suspension. $3800 later...
