Oster Clippers Model 6560 - Power Problem

I have an Oster Clippers Model 6560 Series A. It is hard to start and keep running.

The slide switch seems to provide power intermittently. Now stressing the cord sideways does the same thing. There is a loud 'clack' each time it starts up. It sounds like it might be a relay closing. Do I need a new switch and/or power cord? Is there a parts breakdown image accessible on the web?

thanks,
baumgrenze

Great clipper ! Will last a lifetime. That switch may just need to be cleaned. The noise you hear is the clack of the armature. Perfectly normal. Some clippers have an adjustment to set the blades and that will change that sound. If the power cord is intermittent where it enters the unit then it may need to be shortened or replaced. I'm looking around for a parts list.

I have to laugh..... while I was looking for a parts breakdown and came across this video. A guy making love to his Oster clipper..... you tube/watch?v=URYnKuIqxRA.
There are several videos on the same page illustrating taking the unit apart.
