Use for trash

I'm sure many of us get those membership offers from AARP. Some of you may be members and are off that list but others in your family or household may. Don't just throw it out!

You know those stiff laminated cards they include , 3 x 5 (?), with a picture of a free gift?

They make great mini-whiteboards! Only, don't use dry erase markers, those are kind of big to write clearly with and a bit more difficult to clean. Just use a regular old Sharpie to jot down dimensions or measurements or notes to self. They wipe right off with a few drops of alcohol and a rag or paper towel, ready for next use. You can cut them down and attach to tools if you want, post in your breaker box, whatever.

If some of the magazines gave out gifts for ideas (like they used to) I'd submit it as a tip. Feel free to do so if you know of such a place.

I know, there's nothing new under the sun, so maybe this is common knowledge.

Also, the fake credit/membership cards they send out make great shims for all sorts of usages.

I use them for mixing or spreading epoxy.

That's what lids from cottage cheese or sour cream get used for here.
