dual citizenship

Had a conversation with an elderly gentleman who had just gone through the paperwork to go up to Canada for a visit. It seems he was born in Canada and still owns the old family home, although he came to America 80 years ago and has become a legal citizen. The question, is he still a Canadian citizen as well.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the U.S.A. does not recognize dual citizenships. If you have an American citizenship, then that automatically recinds all other citizenships.

Excellent article by a guy here. Uses some latin legal terms...but he explains things pretty well. And he is a dual CA-US citizen.
