Help with new pool

Can anyone tell me where I should check to see if I need to have a fence or barrier of some kind for a new above ground pool? I don't have a home owners association or anything like that to ask. I don't want to incur much extra expense, but want to make sure I am following the local ordinances and such. Thanks in advance!

Call your local Permits office...probably called a Building Department or Codes Compliance. May be either city or county depending on where you live.

I'd put up a fence or some type of barrier to limit access to the pool. Even if local code doesn't require a fence - your home owner's insurance might.
