a problem

alright, i dont know the jargon or nomenclature for home maintenance or anything of that sort so ill come across as ignorant and totally helpless. which, as it turns out to be, is what i am right now.

my problem is this:

i cracked a bit of glass that runs centre down my front door. in total its about 5"x59" (rough measuring) and stands 7" up from the bottom of the door and the same (i guess) from the top. i cracked the bottom 23" of it, i believe. my family, well they arent happy and want me to front the bill. which i deserve, but thats not my real problem. i want to know what monetary figure is more accurate for such a problem. to my knowledge you can just pop out the glass somehow and put a new one in, right? i hope so... cause that sounds cheaper than buying a whole new door. so any advice?

You should be able to replace the glass alone. Is the door wood or metal or fiberglass?
