Fixing heavy mirror to cavity wall???
#1

Hi,
I have a new mirror circa 150x100cm, it is framed in pine and is fairly heavy.
I am hoping to hang said mirror from a wall which is above a sofa.
The problem is that the wall is a stud cavity wall, made of plaster board. I know that I need plaster board wall plugs but am concerned of the potential diasaster should I get it all wrong.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

I would use a pair of threaded drywall anchors for the wall, like this:
www.smithfast.com/ezinst.html
And for the mirror frame, a pair of keyhole fasteners, like this:
www.dlawlesshardware.com/hanplatheavd.html (they got the image upside-down on this page
