Question Removal of FAKE stained glass

I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove fake stain glass effects that have been painted on a front door (on top of the glass) it looks like it's peel and stick or something for the metal effect, but the glass parts look like jelly that's been painted on and hardened... It's gawdy and I want to remove it..does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Perhaps a heat gun or blow dryer and a razor blade scraper would remove the faked stain glass if it is a peel & stick product. Fake stained glass paint removal, if not removable with razor, may require paint remover. Avoid getting remover on adjacent surfaces. Take care not to scratch glass with razor blade.

If you use it, leave it on for at least 1/2 hour before trying to scrape.
