Scratch in mirror

Hello,
I have recently installed a new mirror on our bathroom wall, only to find there is a 2 inchhairline scratch in the mirror backing. The company I bought it from wont take responsibilty because I put it on the wall. Is there any way to repair or hide this unsightly scratch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably not. You could contact a glass shop and see, but you'll probably get off cheaper to replace the mirror.

Cutting a Large Mirror Attached to a Wall

I have a large mirror above my bathroom vanity that appears to be glued to a wall. It's about 5'x7'. I am having a new bathroom vanity installed and it is about 3-4" higher than my old one. The mirror rests on the old vanity's backsplash, which means I will either have to remove the mirror or if possible trim off several inches along the bottom. Is there anyway to cut the mirror - trim about 3-4" off the bottom - without damaging it, or will I have to remove it entirely?

How do you seal the edges of mirrors to protect from humidity, moisture and windex etc. Mirrors are in apaartments so I cannot control the tenants cleaning methods.
